Rhys Hardisty

Charles Rhys Hardisty is a 27 year old motorcycle road racer from Abergavenny, South Wales. His ambition, since he has been a young boy watching his father race, has been to win aTT. Rhys’s journey has been a particularly poignant one as his father, Charles Ian Hardisty was tragically killed while competing in the 1998 Isle of Man TT.
The is a two stroke racer at heart but will race just about anything! His true love is road racing although he does attend circuits. Last year Rhys moved from circuits to the Isle of Man Manx Grand Prix and, despite a promising week of qualifying (fastest newcomer supertwin through speed traps and 2nd place qualification) a component failure forced his retirement after 5 miles. This year he gets his international license and plans to compete in NorthWest 200, Tandragee, Oliver’s mount, Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT to name a few! This blog charts the ups and downs of his road racing career and his 2015 season
